EV SELECT / BUYER'S GUIDES

Find your EV
by budget.

Our buyer's guides are researched from manufacturer data, ANCAP and independent range tests. Each one covers price, real highway range, charging, practicality, warranty, safety and where to buy. They are not road tests.

PRICE BRACKETS

Buyer's guides by price.

Each price range lists the EVs Australians are actually buying, most popular first, with a one-line reason buyers pick each one. Only cars on sale now are included. Cars with our full buyer's guide say "Read our guide"; the others link to the maker's official Australian site. Every other EV is in Compare EVs.

Picked from Australia's best-selling EVs in each price range. Order is by registrations, January to September 2026, from VFACTS (FCAI) and Electric Vehicle Council data; where a model's sales are reported only in total (for example, all Model 3 variants), the card says so. Brackets use the list price before on-road costs. Where a maker publishes only drive-away prices (Kia, MG, the Jaecoo offer), we use that and say so. "Verified" means we checked the price with the manufacturer's Australian site or newsroom on 19 October 2026. Otherwise the card says "approx" and "unverified", or "POA". Only cars on sale in Australia now are listed.
Sales sources: FCAI VFACTS September 2026 release · Electric Vehicle Council September 2026 release · The Driven monthly EV sales tally (VFACTS + EVC data), used to locate model figures
How prices are shown: List prices exclude on-road costs. Drive-away offers and cashback deals are the manufacturer's, with their end dates. Confirm every price with the manufacturer or dealer. Outbound links are plain, with no affiliate tags.
