The estimates are valid until 31 October 2026. You can add either $1,000 cashback or 1.88% p.a. finance, with applications by 31 October and settlement by 14 November 2026. Kia's offers page doesn't say which GT-Line drivetrain the "from" price applies to. We assume it's the 2WD, but confirm it with the dealer. The GT-Line adds a sunroof, head-up display, harman/kardon audio and powered front seats over the Earth, which is $9,500 cheaper.

Battery and range

Both GT-Lines use the 81.4 kWh battery. The 2WD has a 150 kW / 283 Nm front motor (0–100 in about 7.9 s, 563 km WLTP). The AWD adds a rear motor for 195 kW / 385 Nm (about 6.6 s, 559 km WLTP).

Highway range tests

Bjørn Nyland, 120 km/h: 337 km. He tested a European-market EV3 Long Range FWD (the same 81.4 kWh battery and front motor as the GT-Line 2WD) at 13°C in dry conditions. Wheel size and trim may differ from the Australian GT-Line, and the result doesn't apply to the AWD.

Out of Spec Reviews, 70 mph: no test. The EV3 isn't sold in the US.

Warranty and servicing

Kia's warranty is 7 years, unlimited km. The current EV3 is a model year 2027 car, so its battery capacity warranty is 8 years or 160,000 km (to 70% of original capacity). Kia offers capped-price servicing for up to 7 years or 105,000 km.

Safety (ANCAP)

Five stars for all variants: adult occupant 83%, child occupant 86%, vulnerable road users 78%, safety assist 81%.

Rivals to compare

Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere

Good fit: city and suburban drivers who want a small, easy-to-park car with a big battery, a long warranty and decent towing (1,500 kg in the AWD).

Look elsewhere if: you are buying for value. The Air Long Range has the same battery, more WLTP range (604 km) and costs $15,500 less. Also look elsewhere if you need a family-sized boot.
