9 buyer's guides
About our guides: EV Select's buyer's guides are researched from manufacturer data, ANCAP ratings and independent range tests (Bjørn Nyland at 120 km/h, Out of Spec at 70 mph, kept separate and labelled). They are not road tests: we haven't driven these cars for the guides and don't give scores. WLTP figures, highway tests and everyday consumption are never mixed.
THE NUMBERS EXPLAINED

Three ways to read the range.

An EV can be excellent on paper and still surprise you on a motorway. Here's what we're building toward.

WLTP range

The certified laboratory figure, matched to the exact Australian variant, wheel package and model year wherever possible.

Highway range

Independent fixed-speed results, especially Bjørn Nyland's 120 km/h tests and Out of Spec's 70 mph (112.7 km/h) tests, with conditions and speed preserved.

Everyday range

Mixed-driving efficiency and measured consumption, never mislabelled as a standardised highway test.
