Battery and range
The battery is an 80.8 kWh (gross) LFP pack. On standard 20-inch wheels WLTP range is 510 km, with combined consumption of 18.4 kWh/100 km. Kerb weight is 2,220 kg, 105 kg more than the RWD Long Range.
Highway range tests
Bjørn Nyland, 120 km/h: we haven't found a published test of the updated G6 AWD Performance. Out of Spec Reviews, 70 mph: none (not sold in the US). Tests of the original 2023–24 G6 use different hardware, so we don't apply them here.

Charging
| DC peak | Up to 451 kW (XPeng figure) |
|---|---|
| DC 10–80% | 12 minutes (XPeng internal testing) |
| AC | 11 kW; 5–100% in 9.2 hours |
| V2L | Up to 6 kW |
The 12-minute figure is XPeng's own, and it depends on a charger that can supply that much power. Our explainer on the G6's 451 kW claim covers what to expect on local networks.

XPeng's manual sets a minimum retained battery capacity during that period. Servicing goes through authorised XPENG service centres; we didn't find published per-service prices.
Safety (ANCAP)
Five stars for all G6 variants built from July 2024: adult occupant 88%, child occupant 86%, vulnerable road users 81%, safety assist 80%.

Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere
Good fit: drivers who road-trip and can reach high-power chargers, and who want AWD performance at about the same list price as the Sealion 7 Performance.
Look elsewhere if: you need a published towing rating or full dimensions before you commit, or you want an independent highway-range result. Neither is available yet for this variant.
